CCTV questions

Do I need to register CCTV with the ICO?
If your cameras capture people, the UK GDPR applies and most businesses will need to pay the ICO data protection fee. Check your own position with the ICO. We help you set the system up so it’s easier to comply.
Do I need CCTV signs?
Yes. People must be told they’re being recorded, so clear signs are needed where cameras are in use. We advise on where they go when we install.
Can I view the cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set up secure remote viewing so you can see live and recorded footage on your phone, tablet or computer.
How long is footage kept?
It depends on the number of cameras, image quality and recorder storage. We size the storage to suit you, and you should keep footage no longer than you need it.
Can you take over an existing CCTV system?
Yes. We start with a free site survey and tell you plainly what can be kept and what needs replacing.
